Envolver as crianças nas diferentes etapas do cultivo de plantas possibilita a compreensão do ciclo de vida na natureza, bem como a oportunidade de expressar observações, hipóteses e explicações sobre o cuidado com os organismos vivos, transformações e fenômenos da natureza.
Com ajuda do Sr. Guimarães, jardineiro da nossa escola, o Infantil II A foi plantar no Jardim Sensorial novas hortaliças. A experiência deixou o grupo muito animado e que não hesitou em mexer na terra, sentir texturas e maravilhar-se com os diferentes cheiros. Hortelã, cebolinha, manjericão e alecrim deixaram o nosso jardim sensorial muito perfumado.
Durante a plantação, as crianças expressaram seus conhecimentos e construíram novas aprendizagens:
Paola: “Nossa, que bonita e cheirosa essa hortelã, vai precisar de água. Ontem eu estava na minha casa cuidando das plantas, regando para elas não morrerem. Vamos ter que cuidar delas todos os dias!”
Manuela: ‘Meu vovô põe água na planta e ela fica muito grandona! Precisa regar para elas não morrerem.”
Joanna: “Precisa fazer um buraco na terra para colocar a raiz e vamos ter que esperar um tempo para elas crescerem!”
Beatriz: “Eu conheço a música que chama ‘Alecrim! Alecrim, alecrim dourado…!’ A hortelã dá para colocar na carne do churrasco!”
Rafaela: “As plantas precisam de chuva para elas crescerem e ficarem grandes igual o pé de feijão!”
Bernardo: “As plantas precisam de sol também, para crescerem!”
Laura: “Para plantar precisa pegar a pá para cavar e fazer o buraco!”
