Seeds of friendship

During the Literary Month, to encourage reading in English, Grade 2 students were involved in a storytelling project with the book “If You Plant a Seed” by Kadir Nelson. The aim was not only to encourage the habit of reading but also to develop other important skills to become competent readers. The students created their own version of the story to tell it to the students at the Centro Educacional Emilie using different materials, such as a book crafted by them, role-play masks, music, and even an online e-book!

Children also learned about the importance of partnership, discovering that books can bring people together and create lasting connections.

As the story was shared, a garden of friendship was cultivated, nurturing connections and affection. Just as seeds grow into beautiful plants, the stories we share have the potential to blossom into lasting memories and bonds.

In the end, the real magic lies in the friendships we cultivate through the simple act of sharing a book. So, sit back, relax, and let the seeds of friendship grow.

Sementes de amizade

Durante o Mês Literário, para incentivar a leitura em inglês, os alunos do Grade 2 participaram de um projeto de contação de histórias com o livro “Se Você Plantar uma Semente”, de Kadir Nelson. O objetivo não era apenas incentivar o hábito da leitura, mas também desenvolver outras habilidades importantes para se tornarem leitores competentes. Os alunos criaram suas próprias versões da história para contar aos alunos do Centro Educacional Emilie, usando diferentes materiais, como um livro artesanal, máscaras de encenação, música e até um livro digital!

As crianças também aprenderam sobre a importância da parceria, descobrindo que os livros podem unir as pessoas e criar conexões duradouras. À medida que a história era compartilhada, um jardim de amizade foi cultivado, nutrindo conexões e afeto. Assim como as sementes crescem e se transformam em belas plantas, as histórias que compartilhamos têm o potencial de florescer em memórias e laços duradouros.                                                                           

No final, a verdadeira magia reside nas amizades que cultivamos através do simples ato de compartilhar um livro. Então, relaxe, aproveite e deixe as sementes da amizade crescerem.
